📄 Required Documents for Your Marriage Ceremony
Before your marriage can be celebrated, you must submit a publication file. This step is required to officially announce your union on the website of the Directeur de l’état civil du Québec.
⏳ Mandatory publication period: 20 days
After this period, on the selected date of your ceremony, both spouses and the witnesses must present themselves at our foundation with the original documents.
📁 Required Documents
For the future spouses:
- Copy of birth certificate or act of birth
- Copy of a valid ID (passport, driver’s license, etc.)
For the witnesses:
- Copy of a valid ID for each witness
To be completed:
- Marriage celebration request form, duly filled and signed
⚠️ Special Cases
- If divorced: provide a copy of the divorce certificate or judgment
- If widowed: provide a copy of the deceased spouse’s death certificate
